Alright, Xiaomi is in Malaysia and we’ll be heading over to its Exclusive Service Center launch on Monday, while the company has announced that they will pull the wraps off something, nothing is even newer than this leak that has been shown online. A Weibo user happens to have taken a picture of which he claims it to be the next flagship from Xiaomi, the Xiaomi Mi5.
The pictures clearly tell us that this is a very early engineering sample and it looks like Xiaomi is doing a total revamp on the phone’s design again. In our opinion, it’s kind of inspired from HTC and looks very much alike the Huawei Mate 7 that was just launched here a couple of days back.
It also seems like Xiaomi is also doing the Apple way as you can see in the image above, releasing both a smaller and bigger flagship handset, it seems that both will have a bigger display than its current flagship, our guess is between 5.2-5.5 inches, do also noticed that there are no capacitive buttons on the bottom bezels, which could mean we’ll be using on screen buttons on Xiaomi’s next flagship.
At the end of the day, leaks and rumors aren’t always the final thing but this at least tells us where to company is headed to for its next upcoming flagship, though I personally hope Xiaomi would really give its Xiaomi Mi5 a superb design that sets it apart from its competitors.
