When everybody is crazy about smart watches, Xiaomi has done things a little differently, the company has just announced its first Bluetooth Gamepad for its Mi products, the controller looks very much like a Xbox controller and is powered by two AA batteries. While Android gaming hasn’t been really popular and gaming controllers aren’t cheap, Xiaomi is apparently trying to take Android gaming to the next level to compete with its competition, this can be easily perceived with the company’s partnership with NVIDIA on the introduction of it’s Mi Pad, which is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 chipset.

Since this is a Bluetooth device, it will be supported on most Android devices including the company’s own Mi Box and Mi TV 2, there’s still no official pricing from Xiaomi yet but the company has teased the first 300 buyers in China can purchase the gamepad at RMB1 on September 25. We know that this will be get snapped up in less than a second once it becomes available, will this controller be eventually hacked for gaming consoles like Xbox or the Playstation 4? We predict that the Mi BluetoothGamepad could sell as low at RMB99-RMB109 and we’ll know it tomorrow.
