Thecus’s NAS has a built-in UPS to avoid power loss

Thecus has announced its new-zero crash 5-bay NAS storage the N5810PRO, which is made possible by a Intel Celeron J1900 Quad-Core 2.0GHz SOC and a Mini-UPS battery, the NAS storage has 4GB of DDR3 RAM (expandable to 8GB) and is equipped with 5 Gigabit LAN ports that is able to reach blazing fast throughput speeds of up to 500MB/s, storage expansion is up to 40TB and support for VMware, Citrix and Microsoft Hyper-V integration is available.

While most IT environments should have a UPS for tackling power failure, Thecus’s N5810PRO has a built-in lithium-ion mini UPS that will allow the system to store unwritten data and safely shut down to avoid any possible data corruption and hardware damage should a power failure occurs. The device also features Data Guard for local and remote backups, Data Burn, and Snapshot Backup using Btrfs file system.

The N5810PRO comes preloaded with Thecus OS5, which includes a VPN Server for remote accesss, Disk Clone and Wipe for data management and surprisingly, the NAS storage comes with a built-in HDMI output that allows you to view multimedia content on your HDTV with the Kodi software, mobile users will be able to download the T-OnTheGo app to access the NAS storage.
