Just in case you don’t know, Razer does more than just gaming devices and peripherals. They have just announced the launch of the new Nabu smartband, with new improvements and features according to many feedbacks by users of the previous generation of the smartband.

Instead of launching the Nabu smartband the usual way, Razer did something interesting by releasing a video titled, “Five Rules of Zombie Survival.” This video is a fun way of explaining the features of the Nabu smartband, while trying to survive a zombie apocalypse – typical gamer style.

The Nabu is black in colour with green accents, typical to Razer products, while the Nabu X PAX Blue Edition is, well, blue in colour with minimal black accents. Both are compatible with iOS devices starting from iPhone 5 onwards, as well as Android 4.3 and up devices.

Both the Nabu and Nabu X will receive major updates through a new companion app that will be compatible with both devices. The new companion app comes with a vibrant UI for a clearer, more motivating picture of the user’s daily activity, as well as advanced auto-sleep tracking algorithms, amongst other new features.

The new Razer Nabu smartband is priced at $99.99, and pre-order starts in September 2015, and will be shipped out in October 2015.
