Having just unveiled the Snapdragon Wear 2100 exclusively for Android Wear, Qualcomm has followed up quick with the announcement of three mid-range SoC’s for mobile devices, ending its busy day with a bang.

Qualcomm has added three new SoC’s to its Snapdragon iteration, namely the Snapdragon 425, 435 and 625. While this does not come as much of a surprise, the higher the number, the better right? Yes you’re right, the Snapdragon 625 is the highest end among the three announced SoC’s. The 625 is the successor to last year’s 617, featuring two quad core Cortex A53’s, with a bump of 0.5GHz in clock speed at 2.0GHz compared to the 617’s 1.5GHz. Running alongside is an Adreno 506 GPU.

The Snapdragon 435 replaces its predecessor, the 430, featuring an octa core Cortex A53, clocked at 1.4GHz alongside the Adreno 505. The 435 will be the first in line to support 4G+ technology, with the integration of the X8 LTE modem, for faster LTE speeds.

And finally, the Snapdragon 425, which will be the replace for Qualcomm’s previous Snapdragon 410 and 412. Also clocked at 1.4GHz and featuring a quad core Cortex A53, the CPU pairs itself with the Adreno 308 GPU for graphics.

With such enthusiasm and aggression, we might just see Qualcomm announcing new SoC’s for flagship devices real soon, maybe after MWC to keep the hype of the all-powerful Snapdragon 820. Comment below!
