The new budget-oriented graphics card from NVIDIA is just around the corner, and we reported the possibility of the new specifications for the new Geforce GTX 950 graphics card. However, this time TechPowerUp unveils the first picture of a PNY-branded GeForce GTX 950 with a mecha box art.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 graphics card has a compact size, a dual-slot card that will draw power from a single 6-pin or 8-pin power connector and has a simple fan-heatsink cooling. Besides that, the GTX 950 graphics card will be based on the GM206 silicon with 768 CUDA cores, and 2GB of GDDR5 memory, across the chip’s 128-bit wide memory interface. Comparing to its predecessor GeForce GTX 750 graphics card have only 512 CUDA cores, 1GB of GDDR5 memory and the similar 128-bit wide memory interface.
The reason NVIDIA to release this SKU is to compete with the Radeon R7 370 from AMD, and the expected price from the GeForce GTX 950 will be around USD 150 (approx. RM 620). Rumors mention about this new graphics card will be coming someday within this month, and we hope that they will retain 6-pin power instead of 8-pin power because this budget-oriented graphics card is meant to sit on low power consumption group.
