The upcoming OnePlus 2 is just around the corner and OnePlus decided to make an announcement before the big day arrives and according to a post on the company’s forum, the smartphone will be running on LPDDR4 RAM. Meanwhile, with the latest LPDDR4, you’ll get faster loading times, smoother gameplay, and a magnificent energy saving feature.

The LPDDR4 will receive twice the bandwidth performance as the LPDDR3 at the same power consumption profile. In addition, the RAM of the OnePlus 2 uses a lower operating voltage than its predecessor by decreasing from 1.2V to 1.1V and keep the speeds up to 32 GB/s and it will automatically switch to an optimal profile for power-saving low-frequency mode that brings clock speeds down when performing certain every day and necessary tasks.

Shockingly, this latest flagship phone from one-place also features 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, which is a lot for a flagship phone the same OnePlus 2. With the 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, the phone will use all 4GB to its maximum potential compared to 32-bit processors that can only utilize up to 3GB of RAM. The post also stated there will more things to be unveiled in this upcoming July 27, 2015.

Recently, the OnePlus CEO recently stated that the OnePlus 2 will cost under USD 450 and this is about USD 150 higher than the predecessor price which only cost USD 300, but it’s still lower than what most flagships devices out in the market.
