While Android O is slated for an official public release pretty soon, smartphone manufacturers are still struggling to get Nougat on their devices. South Korean smartphone maker LG has finally come to terms with Nougat for its aged G4 flagship. As of now, the software has touched base among its users on LG’s home soil.

Luckily for LG G4 users, LG did not leave them behind as promised. The 2015 LG flagship was promised Nougat software sometime in Q3 this year and it seems like LG has kept its promise to the delight of G4 users. As of now, only South Korean users of the handset will be receiving the manual roll out of the Nougat software update.

One thing to note is that users will still need to flash the update manually onto their G4 device. They can do so via the LG Bridge app which is available for download through the company’s online portal. Regardless, it is still worth a manual flash after being stuck on Android Marshmallow for the longest time.

Do you happen to still be using the LG G4? The update should head for a global roll out after landing in South Korea.
