Intel announces new Core M Compute Stick with Skylake

I just recalled that Intel launched its first generation Compute Stick with Intel Atom processor not that long ago, and now, Intel has quietly announced its new beefed up Compute Stick with Skylake processors in the form of Core m3 and Core m5 with vPro.

By using the Skylake instead of Broadwell, you can imagine how much of the performance will be boosted in the form of a HDMI dongle. Even in terms of size, the Skylake processor has a smaller surface area, and paired with Core M’s low power usage, the new Compute Stick can take advantage of the space savings to include other components like memory, storage and more.

According to Intel, the Skylake Core Ms should provide graphics performance as much as 40 percent better than the Broadwell Core Ms. Due to this, we can possibly expect better video playbacks and decent low-intensity gaming experience.

When can we see the new Intel Compute Stick in the market? So far the only thing Intel mentioned is that the new Core M Compute Stick will go on sale in Q1 2016, while the price has not been hinted at all.
