Last month, we’ve reported that Huawei will be launching a line of laptops in the company’s new “Matebook” line. At MWC 2016, Huawei has finally revealed what the “Matebook” is, and it turns out, it is yet another competitor in the 2-in-1 tablet line.

The Huawei MateBook, for all intents and purposes, is the Chinese company’s very own take on Microsoft’s Surface table. Measuring at 12-inches and running Windows 10, the MateBook comes with its own keyboard cover that is bundled with the device (you reading this Microsoft?) and stylus. The MateBook tablet itself weighs around 1.4 pounds and is roughy 6.9mm thin. The 12-inch display has a native resolution of 2160×1440.

As for specifications, the MateBook seems to be relying solely on the Core m. The basic configuration for the MateBook comes with a 6th generation Intel Core m3 processor with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD, all the way up to a Core m7 processor with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Prices for the device begins at EUR799 (RM 3,750) all the way up to EUR1,799 (RM8,415).

No solid release dates have been given just yet, but Huawei promises that the Matebook will be available in Asia, Europe and North America within the next few months. The MateBook will be available in grey and gold colours.
