The year is almost coming to an end and we are definitely not done yet with this year’s smartphones, HTC Malaysia will be launching the Desire EYE and Re Camera on December 5, and by that means, you’ll be able to get it as a Christmas present on time, taking some great holiday selfies or even film yourself skiing off snow.

The HTC Desire EYE is a phone that’s packed with dual 13 Megapixel cameras, processing power is done by a Snapdragon 801 2.3GHz Quad-Core SoC with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage with MicroSD expansion up to 128GB. The phone will support LTE networks and is powered by a 2400mAh battery. There’s no BoomSound speakers this time however HTC has still included headphone amplifiers and best of all, the phone is IPX7 certified dust and water resistant.

HTC’s Re Camera is a more interesting product, it is a periscope shaped action camera that takes Full HD videos and 16 Megapixel of still shots, the Re is set to challenge GoPro products with its 146 degree wide angle lens, waterproof construction and will support both iOS and Android phones. Currently, the Re Camera is selling $200 in the US and we should be expecting a price tag of RM650 here which should give the GoPro Silver a good run for its money if we are merely judging on specs.

Therefore, don’t end your Christmas wishlists too early, the HTC Desire EYE and Re Camera are on their way.
