Google Photos now have smarter albums

Google Photos have probably made our lives easier in some way, assisting the semi-photographer-wannabe in us when it comes to organizing our countless selfies, food shots and near-symmetrical landscape photos. The app is pretty much user friendly to begin with, and offers unlimited cloud storage for HQ images captured on your smartphone. The app also has an assistant, who suggests albums from your weekend getaways at different places, or makes fun of you by creating animations out of your badly taken photo duplicates.

Google has sneaked in a feature which smartens up the assistant in the app. On top of organizing your photos into albums, Google Photos will pick your best shots from the countless photos taken for the album:

“Starting today, after an event or trip, Google Photos will suggest a new album for you, curated with just your best shots.”

Also added in the albums are maps and location pins just in case you wanderlusted yourself to neverland or just places you can never seem to recall. On top of that, you can now add your own text captions to the album. This new feature is currently rolling out to Google Photos on the web, Android and iOS.
