Garageband now supports publishing songs directly to Apple Music

This is probably one of the biggest advantage and reason for musicians to support Apple Music if they are using Garageband, a new update for the music creation app has surfaced on the App Store and mentions that users will now be able to share music directly to Apple Music Connect, which means Indie music makers will be able to share their creation on to Apple’s streaming service and should be able to start monetizing them.

Musicians will need to have a Connect account in order to enjoy this service of course and while there’s certainly no word on how well it will work for them, we all know for one fact that Apple Music will be the next great platform for indie composers and artists apart from readily available free services such as SoundCloud and BandCamp. The update for Garageband does also mean that Apple would like to target young and small musicians to be on the company’s music streaming platform, and has yet to introduce this in its very own professional Logic Pro audio software.

With criticisms all around and once a game changer in the music industry, it is important that Apple takes the lead once again in making things happen again, the update might not seem relevant enough to huge production companies out there, but we might be able to see an indie artist rise from this benefit, lets keep our fingers crossed.
