Galaxy S7 might feature micro SD expansion

Samsung took a leap of faith last year, or rather, a risk of faith, when removing many features in the company’s Galaxy S6.

The 2015 flagship device had many missing features, intentionally, compared to that of the Galaxy S5. The key significant ones are the lack of expandable storage, having a non-removable battery, and ditching the waterproofing feature. All these sacrifices, in exchange for a whole revamped look of the S6.

Many critics are adamant that the features mentioned above won’t be returning to the Galaxy S line but some sources suggest otherwise.

It turns out that one of the features might be making a comeback in the Galaxy S7, namely, expandable storage via micro SD. But how?

Rumors suggest that the S7 will have dual-SIM tray, which also works as a one SIM one micro SD tray, giving users the option to have either two SIM’s or one SIM and the liberty of having expandable storage. This feature is definitely not something new in smartphone land, let alone Samsung’s devices, but never on its premium S line.

Don’t go too far on that road just yet since a rumor is still a rumor. It is good to hope, but not too much to risk being disappointed. The Galaxy S7 with expandable storage. Any takers? Let us know below!
