In Microsoft’s Build developer conference, the company has shown how developers will be able to run reworked Android and iOS apps on Windows 10 effortlessly, this has been a rumor back then however Microsoft has begin to realize it by allowing developers to use Java and C++ for Android apps and Objective C code for iOS on Windows 10’s app development, this is an extremely huge advancement for a closed mobile operating system like this which Blackberry once failed to address properly.

What Microsoft has done right here is pretty smart as well, instead of using the same APIs (application program interface) from Android and iOS SDKs, the company has created its own equivalent APIs so that developer could easily convert their codes from these platforms with Microsoft’s Visual Studio. Apart from that, Microsoft has been using its HyperV technology to make universal apps across Windows 10 devices, one of the participating apps would be Adobe Photoshop Elements, in which Adobe and Microsoft are working hard together to make the equivalent features of the app available on both PC, tablet and smartphone environments, which is considerably ambitious if the company is able to achieve a fluid user experience.

Windows 10 is the key to Microsoft’s success in the mobile space and when the company is willing to lower down its initial ego by supporting other more established mobile operating systems, this effort could be one of the best selling points of Windows devices in the future, whether developers will primarily choose Windows 10 as their main developing platform, that is still a challenge that Microsoft will need to overcome.
