The Zenfone 2 has gone on sale in Malaysia today and ASUS has celebrated this by hosting the Incredible Zen Day this morning over at KL Live, the Zenfone 2 is the most powerful smartphone that the company has ever made and the first smartphone to be sold in Malaysia that comes with up to 4GB RAM.
ASUS Malaysia’s Incredible Zen Day event has received an overwhelming response of over 3000 registered Zenfans and over a thousand units of Zenfone 2s are being sold to customers today. Unlike last year, ASUS has kept just one model for the Zenfone 2 this time with different hardware specifications, the entry level model ZE500CL comes with a 5-inch HD display, an Intel Atom Z2560 CPU with 2GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage will retail as affordable as RM599 while the flagship model comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 2.3GHZ CPU mated to 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage will retail at RM1,299.
Apart from the announcement of the Zenfone 2, ASUS has not revealed pricing for its accessories such as the ZenFlash, LolliFlash and the phone’s backcover, folks who are not able to attend the event today will still be able to purchase the Zenfone 2 over at http://store.asus.com/my very soon, stay tuned to us we shall be receiving our very own Zenfone 2 for review.
