If you’ve always wanted to get an Apple Watch but don’t want the hassle of travelling out of the country to get one, you’re in luck! Apple has finally saw it fit to make their series of smartwatches available in the country.
Much like other countries, Apple is offering three variants of the smartwatch depending on what you want and your budget.
The cheapest version of the Apple Watch is the Apple Watch Sport. It features an anodised aluminium case in four finishes and has an Ion-X glass for its watchface. The Watch Sport comes use fluoroelastomer bands that comes in various colours. The 38mm version of the Watch Sport is priced at RM 1,599 while the 42mm version is priced at RM 1,849.
Want something a bit more classy? There’s the Apple Watch that is constructed with a stainless steel case and a sapphire crystal display. The Apple Watch comes with various types of bands, from a high-performance fluoroelastomer band, to a stainless steel link bracelet. Prices for the Apple Watch is dependant on the band chosen with the 38mm variant having a starting price of RM 2,499 while the 42mm variant has a RM 2,749 starting price.
Finally, if you’re the kind of person that sleep on a pile of money, or if you have a mysterious donor located somewhere in the Middle East, you can opt for the luxurious Apple Watch Edition. Built with an 18-karat yellow or rose gold case and featuring a sapphire crystal display, the Apple Watch Edition comes with exquisitely crafted bands and clasps as well as a premium leather charging box that charges the watch wirelessly. How much does it cost? Well, the starting price of the 38mm version comes in at RM 47,000 for the Sport Band while the Modern Buckle version is priced at RM 80,000. The 42mm version is no better, with the Sport Band variant commanding an eye watering RM 57,000 pricetag while the Classic Buckle variant is priced at RM 70,000.
Needless to say, none of us here at KLGG will be able to afford the Apple Watch Edition anytime soon; not even if we have 2 or more day jobs.
