Apacer has a brand new flash drive, but unlike many other flash drives, this one has a trick up its sleeve: it features both a traditional USB port and a Type-C port.

Called the AH180 USB 3.1 Type-C Dual Flash Drive, this flash drive comes with a Type-C front end in its reversible-plug. Aside from eliminating the inconvenience caused by misplug and reducing slot damage by repeated plugging and unplugging, the AH180 also supports OTG functions, allowing it to expand the capacity of compatible smart phones or tablet PCs.

On the other end of the AH180, the flash drive features a Gen 1 Type-A interface that is backwards compatible with computer devices having USB 3.0/2.0. The bandwidth on the AH180 is 10 times faster than USB 2.0, allowing it to significantly reduce the time it takes to transfer files onto the flash drive itself or vice versa.

The AH180 comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants. As for operating systems, the AH180 is able to support Windows, Linux Kernal 2.6.x, Mac OS 10.4x and above, Chrome OS and other mainstream operating systes. The flash drive’s OTG functions is compatible with mobile devices that runs on Android 5.0 and above.
