We are very sure that out of 10 households, every 9 of them at least run on a pirated version of Windows 8.1 or Windows 7, pirates have updated their KMS Tools and Windows Activators every now and then, Microsoft could finally put an end to this madness – by offering non-genuine users a free upgrade to Windows 10. Shocked? Surprised? We are.
This move is specifically targeted at the Chinese market, as Microsoft is intending to strengthen its presence in China and wants to grow its overall market share, which includes joining hands with Xiaomi to have its phones run Windows 10, the firm has plans to convert 75% of pirate Windows users in China into legit versions of its software, which is an extremely bold and generous move by getting support, other parts of the world are also said to be receiving such offer from Microsoft itself.
There’s no specifics on which version of Windows will be eligible for the free upgrade, however Enterprise version users should not enjoy this benefit from the company. For the first time, this is the software giant’s first move to offer free desktop operating system licenses to everyone, after so many years of fighting piracy using its own efforts, it seems that Microsoft have realized a smarter way to move on.
