The super minimalist Light Phone 2 now allows for more features

It had one simple idea when the predecessor, Light Phone, was made; to strip away of all the extraneous and distracting pieces of the regular smartphone, like texting and the Internet, to say the least. There’s no denying that it has been an interesting idea to start with, and also the ultra-minimalist design that’s super pretty to look at.

But now the Light Phone 2 allows for texting, because they probably just can’t get away from stripping off its practicality as well. The phone also features the same matte design as its original, and now has a E-Ink touchscreen, moving from the illuminated number pad it once has.

Though it still doesn’t have other features like the basic maps, music or even Uber, it’s still a phone that’s well-suited for certain travelling occasions where you want to be connected but to a certain extent.

Do expect for the phone to be shipped around April 2019. Still a pretty long way to go though, but we’re optimistic about it.
