Samsung might drop S7 Edge Plus

It’s bad news for non-phablet believers as we have recieved rumored reports of Samsung producing only one size variant of the upcoming Galaxy S7 Edge, with a 5.5 inch screen.

This would mean that Samsung will be dropping the S7 Edge’s bigger brother, the S7 Edge Plus. As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy S7 Edge is tipped to come with a 5.5 inch screen instead of a 5.1 inch screen similar to that of the Galaxy S7.

While it is a sad and solemn occasion for those who wish to see the S7 Edge in a smaller form factor, specialized leaker @evleaks has claimed that his earlier info about the Galaxy S7 lineup to be 100% accurate.

The source claims that the S7 will indeed have a hybrid dual SIM/micro SD slot. Samsung will also produce Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890 variants of the S7, both running 4GB of RAM. The camera will be 12MP instead of 16MP, which tells us that Samsung might be using a better sensor. The devices will be water resistant and finally, there might not be a 128GB since Samsung will be implementing expandable storage.

We’re closing in on next month’s MWC, and everyone’s getting anxious. Is Samsung heading in the right direction? Let us know your thoughts below!
