Just earlier we spoke about Apple having multiple beta versions of software running at the same time for iOS and Mac OS X. It turns out that Apple has started rolling out OS X 10.11.3 updates, available through Apple’s Mac App Store. The second beta was released earlier this month, prior to today’s official release. For some of those who might still be left behind, OS X 10.11 is El Capitan, Apple’s latest operating system preceded by Yosemite (OS X 10.10).
This update of El Capitan does not include any major changes or overhauls to the software. Rather, the incremental update will only improve the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac. In other words, Apple is fixing some minor bugs which are still hanging around your OS.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple has started testing OS X 10.11.4. An upcoming release of this version will include features such as password protected Notes and the ability to view Live Photos in the Messages app.
The download size of the 10.11.3 update is 661 MB and does not require users to restart their Macs.
