If you have an Nvidia card powering your computer, you may want to hold off on getting the latest update as it seems that the driver is causing all sorts of problems.

Reports coming in from reddit seems to indicate that Nvidia’s 364.47 driver is rather broken, as users are reporting a myriad of issues ranging from blue screens to restart loops after installing the drivers. There are also reports from users that the drivers are causing some of their graphics card to burn out due to overheating. This problem doesn’t seem limited to certain generation of cards either, meaning that the GeForce 700 series are equally as susceptible to the driver issues as the Nvidia Titan X.

Nvidia has since released a new driver, 364.51, which it claims would solve the problem caused by said faulty driver. However, a seperate reddit thread shows that the issues are still persistant on some setups. Our advice to you? Don’t install any Nvidia drivers for the next week or so until Nvidia sorts this problem out.
