Would you pay USD 3.99 per month for a premium e-mail service? That is what Microsoft would like to find out as the company is about to start the trial run for Outlook Premium.

News of Microsoft offering a premium e-mail service was first leaked in February, but we now have more information as to what to expect from Outlook Premium. Based on the landing page of Outlook Premium, Microsoft would be offering the service for free for the first year. After that, a monthly subscription of USD 3.99 (RM 16) will be required.

What does RM 16 per month get you? Well, you’ll get five personalized e-mail addresses as well as an ad-free inbox. You would also be able to share calendars, contacts, and documents between people who have e-mail address on your domain with ease. For those who have Office 365, Outlook Premium would work as an add-on to Office 365.

As the Outlook Premium is still under the testing phase, all of the features for this service are still subjected to changes. Microsoft has yet to announce a proper launch for the service and as such, details such as pricing and features are subjected to change.
