Fitness trackers just don’t stop with one brand, first there was Nike, Fitbit, Sony then Huawei, even Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has it’s own Mi Band up in its portfolio. And now, Lenovo has filed an FCC application for its own fitness band and online sources have leaked on how it will look like.

The fitness tracker from Lenovo will be called the Smartband and it’s model registered with the Bluetooth SIG is SW-B100, the fitness tracker is reported to have a heart rate sensor and will be able to receive notifications from your smartphone such as phone calls, messages and calendar appointments. All notifications received will be shown on its rectangular OLED display. And in our impressions, it looks a lot like Samsung’s Gear Fit.

Lenovo’s Smartband will be a Bluetooth 4.0 device, it is also IP67 certified water and dust resistant and has a battery life of up to 7 days. Best of all, Smartband will be supported on Windows Phone, iOS and Android, which becomes one of the few devices that supports all major mobile operating system. There’s no official release date being mentioned here but we could be expecting it to be released by the end of this year, let’s hope its cheap though.
