The Pebble Time is probably the most active and backed project in Kickstarter, as we had mentioned back then the Pebble Time costs as much as a Pebble Steel and yet there isn’t a premium option of the new time piece from the company, your worry is now over as Pebble has just announced the more premium of its new smart watch – the Pebble Time Steel.
In our opinion, the Pebble Time Steel has a reminiscence of Apple’s smartwatch or the ASUS ZenWatch in pictures, we hope we are wrong though. The Pebble Time Steel’s chassis is a CNC-finished 316L stainless steel casing and similar to its predecessor, it comes with a premium leather and stainless steel strap. Surprisingly, the premium version of the Pebble Time features 10-days battery life, 3 additional days from the standard version.
If you’ve backed the original Time on kickstarter, fret not as Pebble has offered current backers to upgrade their pledge by simply clicking on the manage button on the kickstarter page. The Pebble Time Steel will finally retail at USD$299 and you’ll be able to pledge it as low as $250 for it at the time of writing, better act fast before they run out again.
