HTC’s Chairwoman Cher Wang has since promised a hero device coming later in the year during the company’s annual shareholders general meeting, and that device has started to surface in rumored reports. Dubbed the ‘HTC Aero’, the phone is expected to sport a 2.5D curve Gorilla Glass 4 display, which could mean HTC is bringing back some design cues from its One Xsmartphone last time.
Other details revealed by blogging site HTC Vietnam also reveals a ‘groundbreaking’ camera on the HTC Aero, which could actually feature a f/1.9 aperture camera that excels in low light shots, while this could sound a little neutral to us since the Galaxy S6 and LG G4 has already packed awesome camera sensors, we certainly do look forward on what HTC could bring in terms of camera software because seriously, there hasn’t been any groundbreaking camera software till then.
Despite of all that high end announcement, the HTC Aero could be an intermediate smartphone range, which could mean that the phone might not be parked under the One family and we can assume that it is going to be a similar case like the Desire EYE, which packs dual 13-megapixel cameras with a decent flagship Snapdragon 801 processor despite not sporting a metal body. Now, we can only expect the announcement to happen when IFA 2015 comes up in August, and lets hope this device could really bring the troubled company back to where it needs to be.
