HTC has added to its Desire collection, three new smartphones – the Desire 530, 630 and 825. These handsets sport a new design which is apparently inspired by “streetwear fashion”, a micro splash design on their rears. HTC claims that the micro splash design creates a unique pattern of dots on each device. Other that that, design-wise, the 2016’s Desire line are very much similar to last year’s.

First, the Desire 530. It sports low mid range specs by today’s standards. Sporting a Snapdragon 210 processor with 1.5GB of RAM. On the front is a sub par 5 inch 720p display. The device features a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing shooter.

The Desire 630 looks pretty much like the 530, only featuring a slight bump in its specs. While it retains it 5 inch 720p display, it is powered by a Snapdragon 400 SoC with 2GB of RAM. Its rear facing camera has also received an upgrade to 13MP with the selfie camera remaining at 5MP.

You might think that the Desire 825 will be the highest end among the three, but that is not exactly true. It still retains the same processor, Snapdragon 400 though it features a slightly better 13MP rear facing camera in terms of aperture at f/2.2 compared to f/2.4. The 825 has also received a bump up in its display, however only in size. The Desire 825 sports a 5.5 inch screen, but with 720p resolution. Both the 630 and 825 feature Boom Sound and Dolby Audio.
