If you’ve enjoyed PC modding by adding LED strips into your CPU case or have made your desktop colorful by having RGB LED keyboards and mices, DreamScreen is a Kickstarter project to make your living room flat television look colorful with LED strips, and you can easily control the LED colors with your smartphone. Of course, the product isn’t just about making your TV more colorful but it also helps soothing your vision when you are watching TV in the dark.
The magic of DreamScreen is all done with a HDMI stick, which serves as the controller for the LED strips and has a few modes to fit your viewing experience, the device will intelligently detect any video playback source on the TV and have those LED strips show the background color of the footage itself, hence normalizing a dark room’s background lighting that eventually prolongs watching time with less tiring eyes. A music and ambient mode is also available to make the LED lights pulse according to your music beat and sets the color that you want for your room respectively.
DreamScreen is able to support TV sizes of up to 80-inches so if you have always been watching TV in the dark, you might want to consider this accessory to improve your TV watching experience, the project has now exceeded its funding goal and will be shipped on June this year.
