Canon’s EOS 760D and EOS 750D sets a new benchmark fo entry-level DSLR cameras

There are times that terms such as entry-level and high performance don’t come together, however Canon is making both possible with the announcement of their latest entry level EOS 760D and EOS 750D entry-level cameras that sports a 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor and powered by their fastest DiGIC 6 processor. Apart from that, Canon has also taken the opportunity to introduce its Connect Station CS100, a wireless media hub that stores pictures and videos from the EOS cameras and send prints wirelessly to printers in your network.

What makes the EOS 760D a great entry level camera is the ability to shoot High Dynamic Range (HDR) movies and its anti-flicker technology will ensure consistent and accurate white balance, the EOS 760D has an ISO speed range of 100-12,800 and expandable to 25,600, continuous shooting speed of 5 fps with 19 autofocus points, video recording resolution is supported up to 1080p 30 fps which is pretty standard for great video shoots these days. It’s 3.0-inch 1.04 million dots Vari-angle touch panel is an extremely bright and colorful display that will give videographers a great viewing experience on their work. Canon is also offering WiFi Direct and NFC connectivity on both the EOS 760D and EOS 750D as a standard for transferring photos to smartphones and sharing them to social media instantly.

On the other hand, the Connect Station CS100 is a beautiful media hub that can be connected to your HDTV via HDMI for viewing photos wirelessly from your EOS camera with its built-in WiFi and NFC connectivity. The CS100 has a 1TB storage that stores all of your memories and organizes them nicely into albums for your viewing pleasure, what’s even more interesting is that it is also able to print your shots wirelessly should you have a wireless printer in the same network. Last but not the least, you will also be able to access the Connect Station outside of your home using your smartphone with Canon’s Connect Station companion app available for iOS and Android.

The EOS 760D and EOS 750D is now available with the following packages:

All prices are inclusive of 6% GST so no complicated calculations, the Connect Station CS100 will be available on June 2015 onwards while pricing hasn’t been disclosed by Canon Malaysia.
