ASUS has release yet another iteration of the ZenFone smartphone. Instead of focusing on the cameras like the previous ZenFones, ASUS is focusing on the phone’s battery instead.

The ZenFone Max as it is called, comes with a 5,000mAh lithium-polymer battery, giving the phone the ability to last around 38 days on standby before requiring a charge. You can also connect the ZenFone Max to another device to charge it as the phone’s large battery allows it to double as a power bank.

As for specifications, the ZenFone Max is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and features LTE Category 4 for download speeds up to 150 Mbps. The camera on the Max is not too shabby either, sporting a PixelMaster camera with f/2.0 aperature lens and an ultra-fast laser auto-focus, giving the phone the ability to capture high-resolution photos whie minimising blurring. ASUS’s Low Light mode employs pixel-merging technology to capture 400% brighter photos at night or in low-light scenes without flash. The Max is made durable with Gorilla Glass 4, making it twice as resistant as its predecessor.

For those interested, the ZenFone Max is available now with a price of RM 899.
