Early this week, ASUS Malaysia has officially announced the availability of its latest ultra-slim and portable laptop offerings announced back in CES 2015, the long anticipated 2-in-1 Transformer Book Chi T300 and ZenBook UX305 is now available in Malaysia with an amazing value.

The Transformer Book Chi T300 is an ultra slim 2-in-1 that sports the signature detachable form factor from ASUS, weighing at 720g (tablet) and measuring 7.6mm (tablet), the device is powered by Intel’s Broadwell Core M-5Y71 CPU and has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage, its beautiful 12.5-inch touch IPS display packs a stunning WQHD (2560×1440) resolution which many will love.

What makes the Transformer Book Chi T300 so special out of most Core M offerings is that the device is fanless, which literally means you’ll be able to have an absolutely silent computing experience, the keyboard station also features Bluetooth connectivity so that you won’t actually need to attach the device to use it. In terms of inputs, ASUS has made given two MicroUSB ports, one MicroHDMI port and has still managed to cramp in a standard SD card slot. Lastly, the Transformer Book Chi has an 8 hour battery life juiced by a 32WHr battery.

The ZenBook UX305 is the world’s slimmest 13.3-inch Ultrabook measuring 12.mm thin and weighs 1.2kg, the laptop is also powered by the same Intel Core M-5Y71 CPU and comes with an optional 8GB variant, its display resolution is still a pretty impressive Full HD (1920×1080) resolution nonetheless and its keyboard is a 286mm frameless chiclet keyboard. The ZenBook UX305 comes with up to 256GB of SSD storage and has three USB 3.0 ports, one SDXC card reader, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11ac. ASUS has also packed the laptop with a pair of Bang & Olufsen speakers with its SonicMaster audio technology onboard which makes the laptop a perfect entertainment companion, its 45WHr battery will give users up to an impressive 10 hour all day use.

Both the Transformer Book Chi T300 and ZenBook UX305 will be available immediately with the starting price of RM3,199 and RM2,399 respectively, which is relatively cheaper than most Core M offerings in the market and giving competitors such as the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro a good run for its money. ASUS has also confirmed that they will not increase the prices of the laptops even if GST kicks in on April, this should make some customers really happy.
