While Apple is never a fan of expandable storage, it still ensures that its apps are fully utilizing the customizability of Android devices. The Cupertino company has released an update for the Android version of Apple music, enabling users to keep more music offline. In other words, Android phones with micro SD expansion are able to store more downloaded music onto their extra memory.

Despite the fact that more and more Android phones are dropping the expandable storage option, flagships such as the LG G4 are still able to take advantage of this new feature. Combining internal and expandable storage via micro SD, the storage capacity of an Android phone will make iOS devices seem elementary, only maxing out at 128GB.

Also in the update is the inclusion of a full schedule of Beats 1 shows and the ability to browse your music by composers and compilations. This shows that Apple is still willing to develop their Android apps to the operating system’s advantage. However, do note that the Apple Music app for Android is still in beta.
