Yes 5G has finally caught up with the competition in offering regional roaming passes, starting with the YesRoam ASEAN Plus, it supports up to 11 countries including Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam.
The roaming passes will be available in 1, 3 and 7 days, the plan will cost RM10, RM20 and RM30 respectively, while data allowance is 1GB, 5GB and 10GB respectively, which is very reasonable if you are intending to travel to these countries while requiring data connectivity without buying a local SIM.
Even if you exceed the data quota for the day, you can still continue to use the service albeit at a throttled speed of 512kbps, which is similar to some other roaming passes.
Like most roaming passes, the YesRoam ASEAN Plus can be purchased up to 30 days in advance and can be cancelled within 24 hours before activation, the roaming pass can be purchased via the MyYes app.
