The smart device giant, Xiaomi is going to officially enter the South Korean market by launching their Korean language version of their homepage which they created at the end of May which introduces its flagship products and official sales channels in Korea.

There is also speculations that Xiaomi might set up a physical office in Seoul to make it easy to manage the Korean market directly from within. Initially, they sold their products last March through local distributors Nanjing Youmi Electronics Technology and Koma Trade. When asked what Samsung and LG’s opinion on Xiaomi’s entrance to their territory, they said that it would not be easy for Xiaomi to break into the market. An official at a local electronics company added that the company is popular among the younger audience but would not affect the market that is loyal to the local brands.

The official also said that looking at Huawei’s performance in Korea and Xiaomi being the second-largest Chinese electronic maker, they would face the same obstacles competing with Samsung and LG if they decide to launch there.
