FTTR nodes have micro fibre optic cables physically extended from your main Optical Network Unit inserted into them, so the transmission of your home’s Internet connection isn’t affected by dead spots in your home that can happen to Mesh WiFi routers.
The nodes are placed in each room either wall-mounted or on the table, and since it’s connected to the main node via the fibre optic cable for Internet connectivity, it can broadcast its own WiFi signal to devices in your room,resulting in a much lower connection latency and greater bandwidth. They’re interconnected so that your device switches to the best node for the strongest WiFi signal as you move around your home.
