Following the launch of the Realme Camera Lab virtual experience that showcases the Realme 9 Pro+ camera capabilities a week ago, the brand has officially launched the Realme 9 Pro series, which comprise of the Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ smartphones.
Featuring a color changing design that we have seen on many other smartphones, the Realme 9 Pro+ leads the pack by having a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED 90Hz display, a Mediatek Dimensity 920 system-on-chip, up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, 4500mAh battery with 60W fast charging, and an OIS+EIS 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera on its triple camera array.
As reported previously, the Realme 9 Pro+’s cameras are proven to be on par with the Galaxy S21 Ultra and even beats other flagships like the Google Pixel 6 and Xiaomi 12.
As for the Realme 9 Pro, it surprisingly comes with a larger 6.6-inch IPS display that has a faster 120Hz refresh rate, it is the direct rival to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G as it is equipped with the same Snapdragon 695 system-on-chip supported by 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, it also comes with a higher resolution 64MP main camera on its triple camera array, and a larger 5000mAh battery albeit with slower 33W fast charging, which might seem like a more attractive option on paper.
Probably the most interesting feature on the Realme 9 Pro+ is that its in-screen fingerprint reader also serves as a heart rate monitor, it also comes with dual Dolby stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack, which sets it apart from competing phones.
The Realme 9 Pro+ will come in three storage configurations and will start at US$379 (RM1585) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model, while the Realme 9 Pro comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with only one storage capacity of 128GB and starts at US$319 (RM1334).
Availability in India for the Realme 9 Pro+ and Realme 9 Pro will be on February 21st and 23rd respectively.
