OnePlus Z: New Beginnings?
OnePlus has a new Instagram account with the handle @onepluslitezthing; under this account, the phrase “New Beginnings” is constantly used, hinting that it could be an entirely new series instead of just a smartphone in the existing series.
According to NotebookCheck, the company has previously offered two name options — OnePlus Lite and OnePlus Z. It could be an honest poll to find out which name customers will prefer, but it could also be to divert the attention from the other name option, the OnePlus Nord. In

In a tweet posted by Mukul Sharma from StuffLiftings, he revealed an Instagram picture that was posted by OnePlus that has been deleted. The picture showed a card that has the word ’NORD’ printed over it while the other side of the card has texts that can’t be read due to bad image quality.
However, another user spent some time trying to decipher the texts and said that this is what it says, “Your early support for OnePlus Nord means a lot to our team. As a thank you for being one of our first 100 followers, we’d like to reward you with some exclusive Nord merch. We hope you like it. As the launch approaches, the team is still hard at work and not sleeping much at all, really. Until then, keep an eye out for upcoming news at @oneplusnord. Rumored specs and features

The latest rumors suggest that the new device will be housing a dual-front camera system that consists of a 32MP lens paired with another 8MP ultra-wide lens. Android Authority also shared a screenshot of a survey that proposes the specs that will be found in the OnePlus Nord. This includes a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 64MP triple camera.

The survey also indicated that the OnePlus Nord will have a 4,300mAh battery with 30W fast charging, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. When it comes to the processor, there has been some contradictions — some pointed towards a MediaTek chipset while others believe that the new OnePlus device will be powered by a Snapdragon 765 chipset.
Price and availability
The OnePlus Nord is expected to be priced at INR25,000 (RM1,418), lower than the new OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. This could be OnePlus’s way to return to what it’s famous for — offering good quality phones at a competitive price. OnePlus Nord is also confirmed to be coming to Malaysia as there’s already an Instagram account with the handle @oneplus.nord.my.
