The newest mall in Bukit Bintang, Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaPort is set to open its doors on 20 January. Ahead of the opening later this week, we were given the opportunity to have a sneak peek of what to expect from the mall.

At 133,000 sqm, LaLaport Bukit Bintang is Mitsui Fudosan’s Co. Ltd’s first regional retail facility in Southeast Asia and largest among all the LaLaPort malls, surpassing even those in Japan.

The mall combines “modern simplicity” and “Japanese flavour” design concepts to create a comfortable, distinctly Japanese feel, with large outdoor common spaces that can be used for events, like the Central Rooftop Garden with its view of Merdeka 118 and Tun Razak Exchange; and the WOW Plaza situated on the ground floor.

Some Japanese brands like Nitori (furniture and interior), Nojima (digital and home appliances), Coo&Riku (pet shop with cat café) will be opening their first-ever Malaysian outlets in LalaPort Bukit Bintang, and we sure can’t wait to check them out when they’re opened!

You’ll will be spoilt for choice in terms of F&B as LalaPort not only offers a variety of new shops that have never before opened outlets in Malaysia; there will also be a Garden Dining food court at the top floor which overlooks the rooftop; a Gourmet Street which has a Japanese street vibe for al-fresco dining; and Depachika Marche.

The mall is easily accessible via public transport, with a pedestrian walkway directly from the Hang Tuah LRT and Monorail stations. For those taking the MRT, it is only a 5-minute walk away from the Merdeka station.
