HP’s latest premium AI laptop has arrived in Malaysia with a colour option that is unusually exclusive. The HP OmniBook Ultra 14 in Deep Espresso is being sold only through Harvey Norman Malaysia, with the limited-edition run capped at 100 units nationwide.
Pricing starts at RM9,999 for the Intel Core Ultra 7 356H configuration with 16GB LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen5 SSD. A 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD Deep Espresso version is listed at RM10,999, making this very much a premium ultraportable rather than a mainstream Copilot+ PC.
A 3K OLED screen in a 1.27kg chassis
The headline hardware is a 14-inch 3K OLED multitouch display with a 2880 x 1800 resolution and refresh rate of up to 120Hz. HP pairs it with Intel’s Core Ultra 7 356H and an Intel AI Boost NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS, which puts it comfortably inside the current generation of AI-focused Windows laptops.
The 16GB model weighs about 1.27kg and measures just 1.07cm thick. Connectivity is also unusually modern for such a thin machine, with three Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and a 5MP IR webcam for Windows Hello and video calls.
The Deep Espresso finish is the actual limited edition
What makes this particular OmniBook notable for Malaysian buyers is not a special processor or different display, but its finish. The Deep Espresso colour uses bronze edge accents and is exclusive to Harvey Norman locally. Other OmniBook Ultra 14 configurations are also available in Silk Sand and Eclipse Gray, including higher-end Core Ultra 9 386H options.
Harvey Norman’s launch promotion runs until 31 October 2026 while stocks last. According to the retailer’s launch details, qualifying Core Ultra 9 buyers can receive a Harman Kardon Enchant 900 soundbar, while Core Ultra 7 purchases include a choice of selected premium accessories such as Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones, a Harman Kardon Aura Studio 5 or a Garmin Forerunner watch, subject to availability and promotion terms.
Who is this actually for?
At RM9,999, the OmniBook Ultra 14 is competing in premium MacBook and flagship Windows territory. The appeal is therefore less about raw value and more about combining a lightweight chassis, high-refresh OLED touchscreen, modern connectivity and a current-generation 50 TOPS NPU in a design that is deliberately scarce.
The limited Deep Espresso model is available through selected Harvey Norman outlets and its Malaysian online store. If you are interested mainly in the hardware rather than the colour, it is worth comparing the regular finishes and configurations before paying for the limited-edition look.
