Alongside the Honor Magic Vs, Honor has also introduced the Honor 80 series on the stage, which will undoubtedly be introduced in Malaysia to succeed the Honor 70 though we are unsure which variant will be made available here.

The standard Honor 80 features the same 6.67-inch OLED display from its predecessor and refreshes at 120Hz, its processing power has been bumped up to a new Snapdragon 782G chipset mated up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage.

In terms of cameras, the Honor 80’s triple camera houses a primary 160MP lens that takes a 16-in-1 binned photos, an 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP macro lens, while selfies are taken care by a 32MP camera.

If you require more power and better cameras, the Honor 80 Pro will most definitely pique your interest as it is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, you also get a bigger 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a pill-shaped cut out and refreshes at 120Hz.

The Honor 80 Pro’s camera setup is slightly different, though it has the same 160MP main sensor as the standard variant, it is complemented by a higher 50MP ultrawide lens with macro support and a depth lens, while the front camera gets a resolution bump to 50MP with support for 4K video recording and is supported by a secondary depth lens.

Last but not least, the Honor 80 SE is the entry model of the series and despite that, it is no slouch as it is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 900 chipset while maintaining a curved 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display, it comes with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, while it also supports 66W Honor SuperCharge on its 4600mAh battery.

Camera wise, the Honor 80 SE would receive a lower resolution 64MP main sensor and is assisted by a 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro sensor, the selfie camera is still a 32MP sensor from the standard Honor 80 in a punch-hole cutout form.

The Honor 80 series will go on sale in China starting on 9 December 2022, the Honor 80 starts at CNY2,699 (RM1,724), while the Pro and SE will start at CNY3,499 (RM2,236) and CNY2,399 (RM1,533) respectively.

We definitely hope to see Honor Malaysia bring in all of the variants here soon.
