Harvey Norman has opened its newest Malaysian store at Coalfields Retail Park in Bandar Seri Coalfields, Sungai Buloh, bringing its nationwide footprint to 41 locations. The outlet began welcoming customers on 25 September 2026 and combines the retailer’s electrical, computing, mobile, furniture and bedding ranges under one roof.
The new store is located on the upper ground floor of Coalfields Retail Park at No. 1, Lengkok BSC 2/3, Presint 2 Bandar Seri Coalfields. It operates daily from 10am to 10pm and is accessible from surrounding areas via routes including the North-South Expressway, Guthrie Corridor Expressway, LATAR, DASH and the West Coast Expressway.
A bigger technology showcase for Sungai Buloh
On the technology side, shoppers can browse smartphones, tablets, gaming laptops and AI-powered PCs, with Harvey Norman’s Next Gen AI Experts available to explain newer features and recommend suitable devices. The store also has a dedicated TV Zone for comparing large-screen displays and an interactive Sound Bar Wall designed to make audio demonstrations easier.
Home technology is another major part of the outlet. The range covers refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, stick and robotic vacuum cleaners, coffee machines and air purifiers, alongside furniture and bedding. Harvey Norman says the store also introduces its first fully customisable dining collection, as well as recliner sofas designed with enough clearance for robot vacuums.
Grand-opening offers run until 14 October
The retailer is running a grand-opening sale at the Coalfields store from 25 September to 14 October 2026. The featured promotions apply to this location and are limited by available stock, with promotional products restricted to one unit per customer under the retailer’s published terms.
A shorter series of Happy Hour deals runs from 25 to 27 September at 4pm and 7pm daily. Announced offers include a Toshiba two-door refrigerator at RM797, an LG 8kg washing machine at RM997, a Samsung 55-inch TV at RM1,397, an Acer laptop at RM2,599, a Tefal rice cooker at RM168 and a Philips steam iron at RM33. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Customers spending at least RM300 in a single in-store transaction can also enter an RM1 lucky draw for prizes valued at more than RM15,000. Draws are scheduled for 2pm, 5pm and 8pm during the opening celebrations, while eligible customers can also take part in a sure-win promotion for instant rewards.
The Coalfields opening gives residents in northern Selangor another full-range Harvey Norman location without having to travel further into central Kuala Lumpur or Petaling Jaya. More importantly for gadget shoppers, the store’s dedicated display areas should make it easier to compare televisions, soundbars, computers and smart-home appliances in person before buying.
