Chinese leakster Ice Universe has claimed in a new tweet that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 10 will have a primary camera with a three-stage variable aperture. The primary rear-facing sensor on Samsung’s current flagship devices uses a two-stage variable aperture.
While the Samsung Galaxy S10 series can switch between f1.5 and f2.4 apertures, the Galaxy Note 10’s camera will apparently have a three-stage variant aperture: f1.5/f1.8/f2.4. However, the leakster has not clarified if both the Galaxy Note 10 models will use a three-stage variable aperture or if the functionality will be exclusive to the more expensive Galaxy Note 10 Pro model.
As shown by leaked CAD renders of the two devices recently, both the vanilla Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Pro will feature Infinity-O displays with the cutout in the center instead of on the top-right corner as the Galaxy S10 series phones. While the Galaxy Note 10 will feature a 6.3-inch sized display with Quad HD+ resolution, the Galaxy Note 10 Pro will arrive with a larger 6.75-inch screen. In most international markets, the duo is expected to run on Samsung’s 7nm Exynos 9825 processor.
CNET had reported earlier this week that Samsung is planning to launch both the phablets at an event on August 7th in New York at the Barclays Center. Last year, Samsung had introduced the Galaxy Note 9 at the same venue on August 9th.
