Nothing has confirmed that the Phone (4b) and Ear (3a) will go on sale in Malaysia from 20 September 2026, giving buyers a new mid-range smartphone and a more affordable pair of wireless earbuds from the London-based brand.

The Nothing Phone (4b) is priced at RM1,599, although an early-bird promotion lowers the price to RM1,499 from 8 September until 20 October 2026. Buyers will also receive a limited-edition Nothing Foldable Backpack and Nothing Phone Wrist Strap while stocks last. The phone comes in White, Black and Blue.

A more accessible Nothing phone

Positioned as an entry point into Nothing’s ecosystem, the Phone (4b) adopts a streamlined unibody design and retains the company’s distinctive Glyph Bar. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 platform, which should provide enough performance for everyday apps, social media and casual gaming.

Nothing describes the battery as its longest-lasting smartphone battery to date, although the Malaysian announcement does not specify its capacity. The rear camera system is led by a 50MP camera with optical and electronic image stabilisation, while video recording goes up to 4K.

On the software side, the Phone (4b) ships with Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16. It includes Google Gemini and ChatGPT integrations, while Nothing is promising three major Android version upgrades and six years of security updates. That extended security window is particularly welcome on a mid-range phone intended to remain useful for several years.

Ear (3a) adds audio capture features

The Nothing Ear (3a) is priced at RM399 and will be offered in Black, White, Yellow and a new Pink finish. It retains the brand’s transparent styling, while its charging case gains a three-LED matrix status light that uses different patterns to communicate information at a glance.

Its more unusual addition is Audio Capture. Audio Snapshot is designed to save useful information or moments from media playback, while Call Recording lets users preserve details from conversations for later reference. Users should, of course, observe local consent and privacy requirements when recording calls.

For music, the earbuds use 12mm dynamic drivers and support up to 45dB wideband active noise cancellation. Static Spatial Audio and an eight-band Advanced EQ are also available through the Nothing X app. Battery life is rated at up to 42 hours with the charging case, and a five-minute quick charge provides up to one hour of listening.

Malaysia pricing and availability

Pre-orders for the Phone (4b) and Ear (3a) begin online at 8pm on 8 September through Nothing Malaysia’s website, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. Open sales start on 20 September 2026 through the same channels as well as authorised retailers nationwide, including Nothing Image Store, TMT and Urban Republic.
