Liquid cooling is something we normally associate with gaming PCs, flagship smartphones and high-performance laptops. UGREEN has now decided that a power bank needs it too — and surprisingly, there is a practical reason behind the idea.

The new MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh 25W uses a micro-pump liquid cooling system to manage one of the biggest weaknesses of high-speed wireless charging: heat.

Qi2 25W Makes Heat a Bigger Problem

As magnetic wireless charging moves from 15W toward 25W, more energy is transferred through a contactless charging coil and more heat can build up between the phone and charger. Once temperatures rise too far, phones typically reduce charging speed to protect the battery.

UGREEN’s CryoPulse system combines a tiny active pump, liquid channels and a vapour-chamber-style copper heat spreader. The company claims this can keep peak temperatures up to 10°C below a roughly 48°C industry reference during its testing.

It Is Still a Proper 10,000mAh Power Bank

The cooling system is not the only trick. The MagFlow Pro supports up to 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging and 45W wired output through either its built-in USB-C cable or USB-C port.

It can charge three devices at once, while an integrated display shows charging power, battery percentage, temperature, charging cycles and estimated capacity. The built-in cable also doubles as a carry strap.

Why Malaysian Users Should Care About Charging Temperature

Heat is particularly relevant in Malaysia, where ambient temperatures are already high before a phone starts charging. A magnetic battery attached directly to the back of a phone can easily turn a fast wireless charging session into a warm one.

Active cooling will not magically eliminate battery wear, but maintaining a lower temperature can help devices sustain higher charging rates and avoid unnecessary thermal stress.

The MagFlow Pro launches in Europe at €119.99 and the US at US$129.99, with Malaysian pricing not announced yet. That is expensive for a 10,000mAh power bank, but it is also an interesting sign of where charging accessories are going.

Power banks used to compete mostly on capacity and wattage. The next specification worth paying attention to may be how well they manage heat while delivering that power.
