The vivo X100 series has been officially launched in China, introducing two new phones: the X100 and the X100 Pro. These devices are the first to feature MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9300 chipset and boast impressive camera capabilities, with the X100 Pro notably featuring Zeiss APO lens technology with a 100mm equivalent periscope lens.

Both X100 models sport curved 6.78-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED displays, offering a resolution of 1260p, 10-bit colors, and a refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. These panels can reach a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits and employ 2,160Hz PWM dimming to protect your eyes. Additionally, they come equipped with in-display fingerprint readers and house 32MP front-facing cameras within a punch-hole cutout.

On the back of the X100 Pro, you’ll find three 50MP cameras, including a 1-inch type Sony IMX989 primary sensor. The standout feature is the Zeiss APO periscope lens, which corrects colors and offers improved clarity and reduced fringing at contrast edges. This periscope module has an f/2.57 aperture and a 100mm equivalent focal length, providing 4.3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

The third rear camera is a 15mm equivalent ultrawide lens with an f/2.0 aperture. All three lenses are coated with T* lens coating, reducing reflectivity by 50% compared to the previous vivo X90 series. The X100 Pro also boasts vivo’s latest 6nm V3 imaging chip, enabling 4K movie portrait video recording and processing.

The X100, on the other hand, features a custom 50MP IMX920 main sensor with an f/1.57 aperture, paired with a 64MP 1/2” sensor telephoto lens with 3x zoom and OIS. The third camera is a 15mm equivalent 50MP ultrawide lens, also equipped with T* lens coating.

Both the vivo X100 phones can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. They run on the latest OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.

In terms of battery, the vivo X100 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging, while the X100 Pro packs a slightly larger 5,400 mAh battery with 100W charging and 50W wireless fast charging capabilities. Both phones are IP68 water and dust-resistant and feature IR blasters, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.

The vivo X100 and X100 Pro are available in black, white, blue, and orange color options. The X100 starts at CNY 3,999 (RM2,588) for the 12/256GB variant and goes up to CNY 5,099 (RM3,300) for the version with 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB storage. Meanwhile, the X100 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 (RM3,235) for the 12/256GB model and reaches CNY 5,999 (RM3,882) for the version with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

Open sales for these phones in China are scheduled to begin on November 21, while no announcements for the Malaysian market have been made at this time of writing.
