In a significant move to conclude the year on a high note, Honda Malaysia has officially commenced bookings for its highly anticipated 6th Generation All-New Comfortable Runabout Vehicle (CR-V). This new SUV model can now be booked across all 101 dealerships nationwide, with a grand launch slated for December 2023.
Speaking on this momentous occasion, Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura, reflected on the CR-V’s impressive 20-year journey. Beginning as the first Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) model from their Melaka manufacturing plant in 2003, the CR-V has since sold over 129,000 units, making it a significant contributor to Honda Malaysia’s sales history. Yoshimura anticipates the All-New CR-V to continue its dominance in the Non-National SUV segment.
The 6th Generation All-New CR-V is set to redefine standards with its 2.0L e:HEV powertrain, marking a new era in the SUV market. Honda’s design language is evident in its modern, elegant concept, promising a refined and sophisticated look. The e:HEV RS variant particularly stands out with its premium styling, featuring a bold Mesh Pattern Front Grille, Full LED Headlights and Tail-Lights, and Berlina Black 18-inch Alloy Wheels.
Innovations extend to an Active Shutter Grille for enhanced aerodynamics and fuel efficiency – a first for the model. Customers can choose between the new generation 2.0L e:HEV Powertrain and a 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged Engine. The e:HEV Powertrain, a first for Honda Malaysia, offers high torque, power, and dynamic driving sensation.
The Advanced 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged Engine promises improved responsiveness and smoother driving, complemented by an advanced Real Time AWD for an exhilarating driving journey.
Packed with advanced technology, the All-New CR-V introduces features like the Hands-Free Power Tailgate with Walkaway Close, a Multi-View Camera System, and an upgraded Honda SENSING system with nine safety functions, including the innovative Adaptive Driving Beam.
Honda Malaysia is also integrating Honda CONNECT in this model, providing customers with enhanced control over Safety, Security, and Convenience functions.
