Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Price

Samsung’s Unpacked event is set to take place this 5 August and it’s expected to showcase the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series.

We’ve known quite a bit about its design and specs already, so there’s only one piece of info left that’s been kept secret until now – its price. Although not quite official, tech leakster Ishan Agarwal has apparently disclosed the tentative prices of the devices to tech portal MySmartPrice.

According to the report, the Galaxy Note 20 series will be priced in Europe as follows:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 4G 256GB: €999 (RM4,992)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 4G 256GB: €1,099 (RM5,492)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G 256GB: €1,349 (RM6,741)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G 512GB: €1,449 (RM7,241)

Now, of course we don’t take Euro-MYR conversions as anywhere close to what the local pricing will be – that’s because the Europeans pay a hefty VAT rate. Take for example the Samsung Galaxy S20 4G 128GB phone – it costs €799, so it converts to about RM3,992; it’s actual Malaysian price: RM3,299 – that’s an almost RM700 difference.

So, based on what we know, we can expect the tentative Malaysian prices for the Galaxy Note 20 to start at RM4,292 for the base Note 20 4G 256GB model. That’s still a mighty price to pay considering the current Galaxy Note 10 starts at only RM3,699.

But if these rumours don’t interest you, the Galaxy Unpacked event is around the corner, and from there we’ll know the phones’ official pricing soon. You can watch the livestream of the event here.
