The realme C12 smartphone is now available in Malaysia for an affordable RM529 and boasts a whopping 6,000mAh battery.
The phone has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display that pushes a 720p resolution, and it sports a dew-drop notch that houses a 5MP selfie camera.
At the back is a triple 13MP camera setup alongside a black & white lens, and a macro shooter. The phone supports up to 4x zoom and PDAF auto focusing. You get the full suite of realme’s photography modes such as AI beautification, HDR mode, portrait mode, and Panoselfie which lets users take wider selfies.
Under the hood is a MediaTek G35 chipset which is a gaming-centric processor with energy-efficient features like the HyperEngine performance optimizer. There’s 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card.
As mentioned before, the biggest selling point of the realme C12 is its colossal battery which stands at 6,000mAh. Realme claims that you get 46 hours of call time, 30 rounds of PUBG (really?), and up to 18.6 hours of movie streaming. The phone also supports reverse charging, turning it into a makeshift powerbank.
realme Buds Classic
Besides the realme C12, the brand also introduced their entry-level earbuds, the realme Buds Classic. They are a pair of half in-ear earphones that come packed with 14.2mm drivers.
Realme also claims that the earbuds fit comfortably in the users’ ear canals while offering premium sound quality with deeper bass and clear vocals. We’ll have to see about that when we get the chance to review it!
There’s a built-in ‘HD’ microphone for supposedly clearer call quality, and a single button on the control fob that functions as a music playback and call answering control.
Availability
Both the realme C12 and Buds Classic are available to purchase starting today – you can get them as a bundle for RM529 via realme’s Lazada store. Offline sales will begin this 31 August and will also land you a list of goodies – get it at the realme Brand Stores and receive a screen magnifier, clear phone casing, a voucher bundle, and a gift box; or buy the bundle at realme’s authorised dealers and receive a screen magnifier and a clear phone casing.
