Malaysians love going online to shop for anything, it doesn’t matter if its clothes, furniture, pets, and many other more that you could think of. One of the things that online users are not able to purchase online is property and that’s what Lazada would take on soon, which is, selling house properties on their shopping platform and its said that they might launch it on 12.12 shopping event to boost their sales.
To make this possible, Lazada has been working with property developer, Mah Sing group Bhd to sell houses at specific locations. According to Lazada Malaysia chief executive officer Christophe Lejeune, “more details on the houses for sale would be announced today.” He also added that Lazada wants to add more brands and products into their shopping platform.
Lejeune has also mentioned that he plans to increase the number of Malaysian sellers from the current 50,000 to hundreds more. Lazada is targeting to support eight million small and medium entrepreneurs in South-East Asia from the current 400,000 by 2030. By doing so, it is creating hundreds of jobs not just within the company but the entire ecosystem comprising sellers, logistics and the supporting industries.
